To highlight the richness and cultural significance of Chinese cuisine, the Walking Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner was meticulously planned by the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry in collaboration with relevant departments. This initiative aims to spread the festive atmosphere and the deep cultural essence behind Chinese cuisine across the globe. Through this event, people from different countries not only experienced authentic Chinese New Year’s Eve dinners but also deeply connected with the profound cultural heritage embedded in the celebrations.

As a key component of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s global Happy Chinese New Year program, the Walking Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner has reached audiences in dozens of countries and regions across five continents since its launch in 2016. The 2025 edition has received invitations from 11 countries and regions, including confirmed events in the Philippines, Indonesia, Korea, Sweden, Russia, Fiji, Canada, Singapore, and Switzerland, creating a borderless celebration of the Lunar New Year.

The Vancouver event was divided into two major segments: a high-level industry forum and the grand banquet dinner. The Culinary Industry Summit Forum took place on January 22 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport in BC. The forum aimed to provide a platform for cross-cultural dialogue, fostering greater understanding and collaboration between Eastern and Western culinary industries while deepening cultural exchanges.

As the exclusive Baijiu sponsor of the event, Sinocan Supply Inc.’s Sales Manager, Yvonne, took the stage to introduce Wuliangye’s rich history and traditional craftsmanship to the guests.
