From April 7 to 9, 2025, the RC Show—Canada’s leading foodservice and hospitality expo—successfully concluded at Toronto’s Enercare Centre. The show attracted more than 23,000 industry professionals and is the largest event of its kind in Canada. Among the most culturally distinctive exhibitors, Sinocan Supply Inc., in collaboration with Liquor Artisan Inc., introduced the concept of the “China Baijiu Pavilion” for the first time, showcasing the unique charm of Chinese baijiu to an international audience.

RC Show 2025: A Grand Industry Event Full of Highlights

Celebrating its 80th edition, RC Show 2025 embraced the theme of “FUEL,” aiming to ignite innovation, education, and industry development. In addition to the “China Baijiu Pavilion,” the event featured world-class conferences, industry competitions, and exhibitions focused on coffee, tea, and desserts, providing a comprehensive experience for attendees.

One notable highlight was the keynote speech by celebrity chef and humanitarian José Andrés, who shared his insights into the future of the foodservice industry and inspired professionals in attendance.

The China Baijiu Pavilion: An Immersive Experience of Oriental Spirits

The China Baijiu Pavilion combined traditional Chinese baijiu cultural elements with modern exhibition design to create a sensory feast blending Eastern and Western cultures. With its main color scheme of oriental blue and decorations featuring Chinese dragons, the pavilion reflected the profound heritage of baijiu while appealing to global aesthetic sensibilities.

It was more than a display space—it was a storytelling platform for Chinese liquor. From illustrated introductions of distilling techniques and real-life displays of traditional utensils to live tasting sessions, visitors were able to gain a multi-dimensional understanding of Chinese baijiu and its cultural significance.

Yanghe’s Dream Blue Takes Center Stage, Captivates Global Attendees

The exhibition area merged contemporary design with cultural heritage, showcasing baijiu distilling methods, historical background, and tasting traditions. A major highlight was Yanghe’s Dream Blue series, including M3 Crystal Dream, Blue Classic Sky (Tianzhilan), Ocean (Haizhilan), and the latest Yanghe Daqu Xintianlan. The shimmering blue bottles attracted streams of visitors for tastings, creating a lively and aromatic atmosphere. In particular, the Crystal Dream emerged as a showstopper, with its smooth texture and rich aroma earning praise from professionals and foodservice buyers alike.

Mr. Lin Ma, General Manager of Sinocan Supply Inc., shared, “The China Baijiu Pavilion is a cultural expression. Through this immersive form of presentation, we hope more overseas consumers will understand and fall in love with baijiu. Sinocan doesn’t just aim to bring baijiu to Canada—we aim to tell and spread the story of Chinese culture.”

Professional Forums Amplify Awareness and Knowledge of Baijiu

During the expo, RC Show organizers, WEST, Sinocan Supply Inc., and Liquor Artisan Inc. co-hosted a dedicated baijiu seminar titled “Baijiu Uncovered: A Sensory Workshop on China’s Signature Spirit” at the Workshop Stage. Led by Rob McCaughey from WSET and renowned Canadian mixologist Alex Black, the seminar explored the unique flavor profiles and mixology potential of three major baijiu aroma types, deepening international understanding of the spirit.

The session was packed, with active participation from professionals in the restaurant and bar industries. Sinocan Supply Inc. shared insights into pairing baijiu with Western cuisine and discussed sales and promotion strategies in the Canadian market. This cross-cultural exchange not only promoted baijiu globally but also served as a bridge between Chinese and international liquor cultures.

Attendees had an immersive learning experience, exploring the aroma profiles, taste structures, and drinking traditions of baijiu. A local Canadian sommelier remarked, “I used to think of baijiu as just strong liquor, but today completely changed my perception. It can be elegant, nuanced, and layered.”

Multi-Brand Showcase, Expanding LCBO Sales Channels

In addition to Yanghe, Sinocan Supply Inc. also presented Moutai Chun Zodiac Series and Dukang Liquor—both increasingly recognized in the Canadian market. Currently, Ontario’s LCBO carries the full Yanghe product line including Dream Blue, Sky, Ocean, and Yanghe Daqu, along with Moutai Chun and Dukang brands. Sinocan continues to collaborate with the LCBO to bring more premium Chinese spirits to Ontario, making it easier for consumers to purchase through official retail channels.

This multi-brand presence at the expo not only demonstrated the diversity of Chinese baijiu but also reflected Sinocan’s strategic approach and execution in the Canadian market. Through continued LCBO cooperation, tasting events, and cultural initiatives, Sinocan is steadily building a bridge for Chinese baijiu to enter the North American market.

Cultural Export: Sinocan Supply Inc. Helps Baijiu “Go Global and Go Local”

“Going global” is just the first step—more crucial is to “go local,” truly integrating baijiu into local lifestyles and drinking culture. By creating the China Baijiu Pavilion, Sinocan Supply Inc. not only demonstrated the globalization of Chinese spirits but also actively contributed to cultural and trade exchanges between China and Canada.

As more international professionals take interest in baijiu, it is evolving from a traditional drink into a vital part of global drinking culture. Sinocan Supply Inc. stands as a driving force and innovator in this movement. In the future, more Chinese brands are expected to step onto the global stage, telling Chinese stories and sharing Chinese culture with the world.
